A’rese Emokpae, better known as A’rese a 28 year-old stage actress has emerged winner of reality singing competition The Voice Nigeria.
This is the first debut season of the internationally acclaimed reality singing competition The Voice.
The competition started with 47 contestants, and it had a line-up of eight competitive contestants in the final which held on Sunday night.
A’rese who was mentored by Waje walks away with a universal contract, a 4 night gateway to Dubai and an SUV worth 7 million Naira.
The finale which was highly entertaining to say the least saw the mentors ― Waje, Timi Dakolo, 2face Idibia and Patoranking ― all duet with their mentees.
After finishing their duets and individual performances, the top four were announced, which included – Brenda, A’rese, Chike and Cornel.
The top 4 was subsequently pruned to the duo of Chike and A’rese, before the latter was announced winner of the competition.
The 28 year old winner is not new to this as she has featured in many musicals and theatre productions in both Nigeria and the US.
