Osinbajo to flag off Lagos-Ibadan railway line tomorrow


EKOCITY MAGAZINE — The acting president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, is expected to be in Lagos tomorrow (Tuesday) to perform the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a standard gauge rail line from Lagos to Ibadan.

The project is the second segment of the Lagos-Kano Standard Gauge Railway System, which also connects to the Lagos Port Complex, Apapa.

Ekocity Magazine learned that important dignitaries cutting across the spectrum of the society including state governors, captains of industry and stakeholders in the transportation sector will be at the event.

And, arrangements have been completed for the historic ground breaking by the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) under the supervision of the Ministry of Transportation.
