As part of efforts to increase the registration rate of residents, the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) has extended the registration exercise to churches and mosques in order to capture worshippers yet to be registered.
The General Manager, Mrs. Olukemi Adelusi stated that the residents’ registration exercise is geared towards ensuring that all Lagos residents register with LASRRA to allow Government provide demographic data for efficient planning and proper allocation of resources in the State.
She noted that a lot of people do not have time to register due to their tight schedule, adding that bringing the registration centres to the churches and mosques will enable such people to register.
The General Manager informed that the exercise which was carried out at the Lagos Secretariat Central Mosque, Alausa on Friday 9th March 2018 and Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, Ikeja on Sunday 11th March 2018, will be extended to other Churches and Mosques across the State.
She, however, noted that Registration is still ongoing at all Local Governments, Local Council Development Areas and LASRRA Head office at No 4, Registration Close, off Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja.
