HON BABATUNDE HUNPE MHR, REPRESENTING BADAGRY FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY PAY A COURTESY VISIT TO THE NIGERIAN NAVY BASE AT TOPO BADAGRY TODAY 15TH AUGUST 2019


The Hon. Babatunde Hunpe MHR today commended the Nigerian Navy for ensuring peace and checking piracy within Badagry and it’s environs.

Hunpe made the commendation when he penultimately visited the Flag Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Topo Badagry Capt.T Sani Mss psc. The MHR said the purpose of his visit is to familiarize himself with the base

He charged the Navy not to relent in its efforts to protect lives, properties and facilities in this region.

“It is important that the Navy does not relax on its duties, because of the importance of having secure maritime for socio-economic activities in Badagry Federal Constituency.

“Today, we have peace in the creeks largely due to the efficiency of the Navy in collaboration with other security agencies and stakeholders which has impacted greatly on the economy of Badagry federation” the MHR said.

He also commended the Chief of Naval Staff for his commitment to developing the Navy in the wake of any challenge, adding that his initiatives had been felt in Badagry and the entire region.

He charged the Navy to make its Medical facilities and Educational Institutions available to the general public in Badagry Federal Constituency while assuring that his administration would partner with it for any quality initiatives to better the community

Capt.T Sanni told the MHR that he was recently posted as the 10th Commanding Officer in charge of the Command, Sanni said that the MHR’s visit can be compared to an icing on their cake, coming around to intimate with the activities of the command.

He thanked the MHR for his administration’s Golden initiatives to familiarize with the Navy and other security agencies operating in his community, describing this visit to be timely and apt.

The comand officer said that the Navy would ensure the securing of the waterways and all other community resources,further express heartfelt on the pending projects in the Base promised by the Lagos state Government.
