OGOMBO CELEBRATES ITA BAALE DAY

The people of Ogombo community in Eti Osa local govt Lagos state on Tuesday put aside their differences to celebrate the Ita Baale day.

The event which usually comes a day after the Ileya festival is happening for the first time in over 16 years.

This year’s event is historic for the Ogombo community as they Have a brand new baale who has brought peace,progress, tranquility and togetherness which has been missing in the community for a very long time.

The event which was celebrated with pump and pedantry witnessed son and daughters of ogombo and visitors alike who came to witness the historic day.

Also present was hon Noim ADAMS rep eti osa constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly who coincidentally is one of the great sons of ogombo community. Also present were ther head of the 9 ruling houses of ogombo community. The event also had in presence captain of industries.

In his speech, the baale ogunbo abiodun thanked everyone in the community for their support sincerely since assuming office. He thanked all the 9 ruling houses, women group, CFa , the police, indigene Christians, Muslims and traditionalists.

Stating further he said the ita baale day has come to stay and next year program will be better than this. He charged the police to ensure the protection of lives and properties.

He enjoined every ogombo indigene including non insigene to support Him sUPPort his reign inorder to bring the much needed development and growth to ogombo.

In his interview with ekocity TV an elated Alashela could not contain his Joy over as thanked the pple for coming out to grace the event even with such a short notice and the heavy down pour.

He however enjoined the people of the community to shun violence and criminal behavior so as to have a peaceful community.

Lastly he called on the state government to come to the aid of ogombo community in terms of infrastructure as most of the roads in the community are in deplorable condition. He also appealed to the govt to rescue them in areas of education and electricity.
