The executive chairman of Agbado/Okeodo LCDA, Dr. Augustine Adeoye Arogundade today flags off grading of 10 roads within the council area in his administration’s first phase palliatives programme for residents and motorists to ensure major roads and streets are accessible and motorable.
At the starting venue today in Area One estate in Adura bus stop, Alagbado – Agbado/Okeodo, community leaders, religious leaders and residents commended the executive chairman for remembering their area for over 20 years of appealing to both state and local government to come to their aid on deplorable condition of roads and streets within the community.
According to Dr. Arogundade, “I have full knowledge of the deplorable conditions of our roads and streets, but the rainy season hindered our plans to grade. Now that the rain has subdued, some of our roads will be graded in phases and culverts will be constructed in some junctions to ensure free flow of waste water and prevent flooding.
The council graders are perfectly in good conditions to roll out, while laterites sand have been purchased to fill some roads and streets that needs such to level up Gulleys and potholes. And assured that his administration will commence on comprehensive road and drainage construction on Arogundade road to Ifesowapo primary school end in Aboru and Ajakaye street in Abule-Egba.”
