As the #EndSars protest continue to gain momentum nation wide, popular dancehall and reggae Singer, Timaya has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to save the lives of Nigerians protesting against police brutality in the country.
He made the call on Thursday, October 15, 2020, via his official Twitter page.
The artiste’s call comes as protests rock several states across Nigeria, with a demand for an end to police brutality, extra-judicial killings SARS unit of the Nigeria police force
Timaya also seized the opportunity to remind Buhari of how his position as the president helped him recover from the sickness he suffered on ascending the seat of office.
He went further to ask the president to reciprocate the kind gesture by heeding to the people’s cry for the reform of the police force.
Timaya tweeted, “You know how sick you were, before you became president @MBuhari. Nigeria saved your life, we saved you now pls save us.”
