Governor Akinwummi Ambode of Lagos State has officially sworn in 57 sole administrators in 20 local government councils and 37 local council development areas ( LCDAs), urging them to stay clear of corruption.
Mr. Ambode at the swearing-in ceremony held at Lagos House, however, told the sole administrators to see their appointment as a call to service.
The sole administrators were appointed at the weekend after the disengagement of executive secretaries that had been running the affairs of the councils in the last two years. “Strict accountability must be your watchword. Lagosians will be watching you and we will be watching you too,” Ambode told the new administrators.
