Lagos state is officially set to launch the One Lagos Brand; which has been set up to make Lagos the tourism hub and entertainment destination of Africa.
Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Folorunsho Folarin-Coker while speaking to journalist had this to say about the project the ;“One Lagos” brand will showcase the true spirit of Lagos through different creative expressions while leveraging on the City’s abundant soft power and celebrating the people, places and unique heritage of Lagos.
“The brand will leverage on the best of the most populous black city, the second largest film industry on the globe and the richest city in Africa. It will promote the diverse multi-cultural heritage of Africa’s largest mega-city and showcase the vibrant emery of its people,” Folarin-Coker said.
The event which is billed to run for three day, will begin on Wednesday, July 27 and ends with an official launch on Friday, will feature comedy shows, musical performances, cultural displays, dance competitions, fashion runway and a host of others.
MultiChoice Nigeria, will also broadcast the opening events live on DStv channel 199 and GOtv channel 29. The channels will open on Friday, 29 July at 9am and will close on Saturday, 30 July at 6:15am.
