The Nigerian Government and the United States are currently holding a conference to discuss the visa ban on some set of Nigerians.
The meeting, which is being held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is to brief the US government on their concerns raised about Nigerians activities in their countries and the procedures put in place to resolve the raised issues. The meeting is also set to convince the US government to lift the ban placed on Nigerians.
The Nigerian delegation is headed by the Permanent Secretary, MFA, Amb. Mustapha Sulaiman, while the American delegation headed by Mary Leonard, the US Ambassador to Nigeria,
Muhammad Babandede, the Comptroller-General of Immigration and other senior officials in the country are also in attendance of the meeting.
