The Coronavirus is still going strong as we near the end of the year. After killing over 200,000 people in the US and infecting President Donald Trump and a whole bunch of his hangers on and minions in the White House, the latest person to be infected by 2020’s biggest virus is singer Trey Songz.
Many celebrities have been infected with coronavirus this year, including Tom Hanks, Idris Elba, The Rock, Antonio Banderas, and Trey Songz is now a new name to add to the list.
Trey posted on his Instagram account recently that he tested positive for COVID-19 after attending protests and food drives. However, unlike the president and his team, Trey is taking his diagnosis seriously and will be self quarantining until he gets a negative result.
Here are some quotes from his Instagram video announcing this:
“I tested positive for COVID-19. I’ve taken many tests because I’ve been out protesting, food drives, of course I have a very young son at home, so I get tested periodically and this time unfortunately it came back positive.
“7.5 million Americans have contracted Covid. One out of a thousand Black people have died from it. I will be taking it seriously. I will be self-quarantining, I will be in my house until I see a negative sign.
“My grandfather passed earlier this year and although it wasn’t said it was Covid I believe it was so I’ve always taken it seriously.
“If you come in contact with Covid, please do the same. Please do the same. Don’t be like the president,” he pleaded.
