Former military Head of state Abdulsalami Abubakar, on Friday, paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja.
The president received Abdusalami after earlier meeting with Mohammed Buba Marwa, chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The news of his visit was made public through Bashir Ahmad, personal assistant to the president on new media, on Twitter that Buhari was hosting the former head of state.
“President @MBuhari receives in audience former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar (rtd.) at the State House, Abuja,” he tweeted.
The visit of Abdulsalami, who coincidentally is the chairman of the National Peace Committee, may not be unconnected with the spike in banditry and kidnappings across the country.
