We have probably heard all kinds of bizarre and strange titles for songs and album. However, Joshua Iniyezo, better known by his stage name SolidStar Isoko or simply Solid Star, seems to be taking it to another level with his upcoming album titled, you guessed right “WEED“.
Solid Star in a recent interview which he granted to HIP TV, revealed that the album title does not in any way relate to the conventional meaning (narcotics) associated with it.
Read what an excerpt from the interview:
“I am not looking at it from the aspect people think. I am just capitalising on the power of that crop- weed. This is one of the strongest crops, even when you don’t want it to grow, it does. That’s the idea behind it. It defines my personality; I am not competing with anybody, I’m just on my own”.
The singer also disclosed that the upcoming album will feature a repertoire of collaborations from A-list artistes. Some of the artiste he named in the interview include Davido, Timaya, Tiwa Savage, Patoranking, Phyno and Flavour.
