Air peace delayed Abuja to Lagos passengers till 12:20am this morning

One of the foremost and respectable Nigerian Local and International Aircraft, Air peace, yesterday experienced some hitches that delayed passengers coming from Abuja to Lagos on 8:30 pm flight for over 3 hours.

The flight arrived Abuja airport at about 10:20pm to disembark the on-board passengers and then took about an hour to get the waiting passengers boarded for take off. This was already 12:15 am in the morning of 21st November, 2019.

It was discovered that this was the same flight that usually enroute Dubai meaning that the delayed flight was deliberate with its actions and tendered no official apology to the passengers affected by the delay.

The flight eventually landed Lagos airport at about 1:25am with just few air traffic control assistance to help the pilot disembark the passengers.

This situation was nothing to be compared with the fact that already exhausted passengers had to walk about 500meters to the main terminal hall to receive their luggage and go their different ways.

An anonymous passenger reportedly overheard some of his fellow passengers staying at FESTAC, Ajegunle, Mushin and the likes, who complained bitterly of their inability to get taxis going their directions, due to the insecurity prevalent in the above locations.

Such passengers were left with no choice but to get nearby Hotel accommodation which of course came with it’s costs.

In our humble opinion, Air peace should be mandated to compensate the delayed passengers as well as tender an official apology to those affected for the disappointed and loss of time and money.
