Lagos to develop sports infrastructure


The Lagos State Sports Commission has identified infrastructure development as a major focus for 2017.

According to Channels TV, Chairman of the Commission, Deji Tinubu, says the state government has started renovation of existing facilities, as plans are being finalised to build new ones.

Highlighting some of the key areas, he said: We are going to have facilities in Epe, Badagry and Ikorodu.

“By the grace of God, we are looking at developing the Marakana area, Alimosho- Abesan as well, putting structures in there.”

The Chairman believes that making facilities available would make sporting activities more interesting, which according to him, is the plan for the year 2017.
