Hon Saheed Bankole flags of re-election campaign despite heavy downpour.


Despite the heavy downpour that enveloped Lagos and it’s environs state on Friday 16th of July 2021, the chairman of Eti-Osa LG and the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Hon Saheed Adesegun Bankole kicked of his re-election campaign.

The campaign train kicked off at the palace of the Ojomu Palace where all the candidates received royal blessings and were all charged to continue the good work.

From the Ojomu Palace, Hon Saheed and his entourage moved to the palace of Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom where they were received by Oba Saheed Elegushi who was represented by the Olisa of Ikate Land, Chief Moruf Adisa and the Eletu of Ikate Land, Chief Ayuba Babalola Elegushi .

The Olisa, while conveying the message of the Ikate monarch praised the administration of Hon saheed Bankole for the good works so far while charging to do more if re elected in the July 24th Local Government elections.

Responding, Hon saheed thanked the king and the palace for their support throughout his first time promising to do more in his second term.

After receiving royal blessings, the team, undeterred by the heavy downpour moved to the campaign ground where the candidates were formally presented with party flags.

On the campaign train were notable APC leaders in Eti-Osa such as the cahirman of Sabitex Hotels Otunba Salisu Elegushi, the LGA APC chairman JP Sade, The deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos state house of assembly Hon Noheem Adams and a host of others.

The team before setting out also paid homage and received fatherly advise and blessings from one of the leaders of the APC in the state Engr Murphy Adetoro who coincidentally the pioneer chairman of the Eti-Osa Local government.

After receiving the party flag, Hon Bankole charged party members to campaign vigorously to ensure a landside victory that will send a message to opposition parties ahead of the 2023 general election.

”This election should not be taken with levity, we must take this election seriously and not take it as a child’s play. we are using this election send a message to our opponents that come 2023, APC will still be thye party to beat. he said.

He thanked party members for coming in numbers for the flag-off despite the heavy downpour while also charging them to come out en-masse on 24th of July and vote the party to victory without minding the level of opposition.
