The new Oba Elect of Igbesa Land , His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulazeez Oluwatoyin Akinde, FCA was on Friday, 27th of August crowned as the Oloja Ekun of Igbesaland following the granted approval for installation on Thursday, 19th August 2021.
The Presentation of Staff of Office to HRM Oba Abdulazeez Oluwatoyin Akinde, FCA and Coronation as the New Oloja Ekun of lgbesa Land was performed by HE Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR who was represented by The Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape .
The coronation was witnessed by a huge turn out with sons and daughters of Igbesa paying homage to their newly crowned king OBG, on behalf of his amiable wife, Yeye Arole Otunba, Igbesa, and himself that they send warm congratulations to the sons and daughters of Igbesaland, both home and in Diaspora. They further pray for the reign of their new Kabiyesi to usher in a new dawn for Igbesaland with abundance, peace, progress, prosperity harmony Otunba Bolanle Gbeleyi, who was recently appointed as the board chairman of Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) prayed for the reign of their new Kabiyesi to usher in a new dawn for Igbesaland with abundance, peace, progress, prosperity harmony while appealing to all other contestants to the throne, to throw their weight behind the crowned King, “we all need to join hands together for the social and economic growth of Igbesaland to be achieved.”
