According to Ilana Omo Oodua , a Yoruba youth activist, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, has been reportedly released from custody in Benin Republic.
It would be recalled that in July 2021, Igboho was arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic, over alleged falsification of his passport.
Before his arrest, the Department of State Services (DSS) had declared the youth leader wanted for allegedly stockpiling weapons in his residence.
Igboho’s release was made public through a statement issued on Monday by Maxwell Adeleye, spokesperson of Ilana Omo Odua, who said Igboho was released to Banji Akintoye, leader of the group.
