The proposed fuel subsidy removal which will cause increase the price planned by the federal government has been till further notice.

It would be recalled that the government had planned to stop subsidy payments on petroleum products from July this year due to the rising cost of importation of fuel.

This piece of news was made public by Zainab Ahmed, minister of finance, budget, national planning, during a meeting held at the national assembly on Monday in Abuja.

The meeting was convened at the instance of Ahmad Lawan, president of the senate, with Timipre Sylva, minister of state for petroleum resources, Mele Kyari, group managing director, NNPC Limited, in attendance.
