Less than four days after the prime suspect to the murder of late Super TV CEO Usifo Ataga, 21yr old UNILAG Student Chidinma Ojukwu denied responsibility in the murder, the Lagos state police command says it has arrested more suspects in connection with the case.

Breaking the news is the Lagos commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu on Wednesday while parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Ikeja.

“We have established a case of conspiracy in the murder and we have arrested more suspects,” the CP said.

Mr Odumosu, however, did not give details on the conditions under which the arrests were made.

The 21-year-old had on June 24 confessed to stabbing Ataga “twice on the neck side” when the businessman allegedly wanted to forcefully have sex with her the second time after having his way the first time.

“I threw the knife to the bed and he was going for it but I also went for it. He dragged the knife with me and it broke and he fell on the floor,”

However, in a shocking denial, Chidinma in a recent interview that surfaced on Monday, said she admitted to killing Ataga at the time because of pressure and the fact that nobody believed her.

“I don’t know what happened when I left the room to buy food. Because of what I did after by not alerting the police and also withdrawing money from his account, I feel guilty for what happened but I did not kill him,” she had said.
