President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly appointed the incumbent speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, as his Chief of Staff.

The decision to pick the Gbajabiamila was said to have been made by the president after evaluating all possible candidates aspiring for the post among his loyalists.

According to Smart from PMNews, Gbajabiamila was picked by the president after a final meeting with stakeholders that ended on Thursday morning, June 1, at the Villa in Abuja.

Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila who was yet to receive his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), would have to forgo his election into the House of Representatives for the sixth term.
