The Lagos state commissioner for Information and strategy Hon Gbenga Omotoso has lauded the the action of the state Governor Mr Babajide Sanwolu followytur adoption of the two out of school children hi is convoy met on their way to an official function

Mr Omotosjo in an interview with Ekocitymagazine described the governor’s action as laudable and one that should be emulated.

The Governor’s convoy yesterday on his to an official function met two 12 and 9 year old girls who were running errands instead of being in school.

Upon interrogating the kids, Governor sanwolu expressed shock at the incident, while pledging to take care of their education.

The commissioner’s remark was during a phone interview with Ekocitymagazine he said.
“The action of the governor is one that should be commended and it’s not a media stunt as it been peddled in some quarters.’’

Stating futher, he said, “education is free in Lagos, and the Babajide Sanwolu’s administration is very passionate about education which is why this administration has renovated and built over 1000 schools which is aimed at improving the quality of education and ultimately reducing the no of out of school children in the state.

On the newly acquired trains for the Red and Blue rail, the commissioner assured Lagosians of the timely completion of the project saying the rail will be ready for test running by the end of the year, while it will be ready for use by first quarter of 2023.

Lastly, Hon Omotosho appealed to Lagosians to bear with the stress, pains and challenges been faced daily on the roads following the rehabilitation and construction of roads in the state as it will be soon be a thing of the past.
