JUST IN: DSS Nnamdi Kanu appears in Court, as DSS gets order to remand him till July 26

Following the extradition of Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria, the federal high court in Abuja has granted a request by the Department of State Services (DSS) to remand Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), till July 26.

The order was granted on Tuesday morning when Kanu was re-arraigned on charges bothering on alleged treason.

Binta Nyako, the presiding judge, said he is to be remanded in DSS custody pending the determination of his trial.

Kanu appeared in court without his lawyer or any member of his defense team.Advertisement
