A lady identified as Chinvere Awuda has been reportedly found dead as her corps was dumped in a hotel’s swimming pool in Awka, Anambra State.
According to Uloka Chibuike on Twitter, the deceased had on Saturday, July 16, attended Club Mila, a nightclub reportedly owned by Cosmila Hotels, where one Mr.Gabriel Chinemere and his friends allegedly assaulted her.
Daily Post reports that one of the clubbers accused her of picking money which the fun seekers were spraying on their friend who was a birthday celebrant.
“Some others said she did not only pick money, but went for bundles of money, which a clubber stacked by his seat side, waiting to spray on the celebrant,” a source said.
It is reported that she was beaten to death, her lifeless body dragged outside and dumped into an abandoned swimming pool belonging to the hotel. Upon receiving the tragic news, Chinyere’s relatives stormed the hotel only to find her corpse in the abandoned swimming pool.
The unfortunate incident had since been reported to the Anambra State Police for further investigation. The police spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident and said the birthday celebrant and his friends were already in police custody while the case is being investigated.
