Oluwatosin Adeshokan, exposed for Sexual Abuse


Oluwatosin Adeshokan, a writer, has been exposed for sexual abuse. No fewer than four women have revealed that they have been sexually assaulted by Tosin. He had raped some of these women, requested for sexual images, physically hurt them amongst others.

Angel, a survivor of Tosin’s sexual assault took to her Twitter page to tell her story of how Tosin ‘fingered’ her until she started bleeding and never stopped even while she told him to.

“This nigga made sure that there was blood before he stopped fingering me. God. Godd. I kept calling his name. I kept twisting and turning. I said stop. He just acted like he couldn’t hear. Until he brought out blood. He said blood nauseates him and then he went to the bathroom.”

Revealing, the abuser is Tosin, she stated: “The person that made me write the article on forceful fingering last year was sha Oluwatosin Adeshokan. I just thank God I’m not dying with this information. I thank God.”

She also shared how the ordeal had affected her mentally and how sometimes she had to be rushed to the hospital: “My roommates last year had to rush me to the hospital cause I was screaming in my sleep.”

Sharing evidences, another lady, shared her story about Tosin:

“I wasn’t sure if I was going to post these publicly, but fuck it. When I was a teenager on here Tosin pretended to be my friend, and then he quickly became creepy. He would try to pressure me to send nudes and also send me unsolicited nudes. I eventually just ghosted him.”

Tosin admitting his guilt on how he preys and violates women took to his Twitter page, stating

“I’ve written and deleted and written statements on this because honestly, I don’t know what to say and how to prove that I’m genuinely sorry for everything I’ve been accused of. But I’m honestly and truly sorry. This is too little and too late, but this will never happen again.”

He further shared a statement, describing his actions as “predatory” and “disgusting” along side an apology.

Feminists,Women’s right activists, and some Nigerians have, however, expressed that an admission of guilt is not enough and Tosin needs to be held accountable for his actions. Some individuals also stated that this is not the first time Tosin would be apologizing for his actions but never seemed to stop preying on women in the society.

The Africa report, an organization whom Oluwatosin Adeshokan, works with has terminated their relationship with him in light of his behavior as a rapist and sexual abuser.

The organization released a statement stating “The Africa Report has zero tolerance for abusive behavior.”

The punishment for rape according to S.358 of the Criminal Code is life imprisonment with or without caning.
