Governor of Ondo state, could not hold his emotions moment for Rotimi Akeredolu, when he visited the scene of the attack on a church in Owo LGA of of the state.
Yesterday was a dark day for the people of Owo and Nigeria as St Francis Catholic Church in Owo was attacked by gunmen during service with Many worshippers, including children and women killed.
The governor while visiting the scene of the incident in company of heads of security agencies, described the incident as “vile and satanic”, calling it a “calculated assault” on the people of Owo.
“It is a black Sunday in Owo. Our hearts are heavy. Our peace and tranquility have been attacked by the enemies of the people. This is a personal loss, an attack on our dear state,” Akeredolu said.
The governor also visited the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, where some of the victims were taken to for treatment
