International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study and practice of the interactions between sovereign states, as well as between international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and multinational corporations. It encompasses a broad range of issues, including diplomacy, conflict resolution, trade, and international cooperation. The field analyzes the political, economic, social, and cultural aspects that shape relationships between countries. Scholars and practitioners of international relations examine theories and concepts such as realism, liberalism, constructivism, and critical theory to understand how states and non-state actors behave in the international system. Additionally, IR looks at global issues like human rights, environmental challenges, and security dilemmas, aiming to foster dialogue and collaboration across national boundaries.
