The insecurity situation ravaging the country has taken another dimension as unknown gunmen yesterday murdered the first son of Bala Na’Allah, senator representing Kebbi south in his home in Kaduna.
Abdul Karim Na’Allah was said to have been murdered on Sunday at his residence in Malali GRA in Kaduna metropolis.
Aside Zamfara state, Kaduna has been at the epicenter of Banditory with the state recording an increase in killings and abduction of residents.
Confirming the sad incident, Garba Mohammed, an aide to the senator, did not give details of how it occurred.
A vehicle and some personal possessions of the Abdulkarim, who is a pilot, were said to have been carted away by the attackers.
The remains of the deceased were said to have been buried on Sunday evening at Unguwan Sarki cemetery in Kaduna.
The development is coming hours after two people were killed in a community in Kaduna.
Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna commissioner for internal security and home affairs, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
Aruwan said three other people were rescued by troops of operation Safe Haven.
“The travelers were abducted by armed bandits who barricaded the road. Troops responded to a distress call and pursued the bandits, rescuing the trio identified as follows; Jibril Salisu, Happy Sunday and Ruth Dauda,” the commissioner said.
“The rescued travelers’ vehicle, a Peugeot 307, was also recovered.
“Governor Nasir El-Rufai noted with sadness the report of the attack in Makoro Iri village of Kajuru LGA, and prayed for the repose of the victims’ souls, as he sent condolences to their families
