The Executive Chairman of Itire Ikate LCDA, Hon. ( Dr.) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira resolved the impasse that occurred between the Law Enforcement Officials and members of the Motorcycle Operator Association of Lagos (MOALS) Itire-Ikate Branch ‘B’ on dispute over abhorrence to traffic rules on Monday, 8th October, 2019.
The law enforcement officials arrested some Motorcyclists with their motorcycles that have contravened the state traffic rules.
Members Of Motorcycles Operator Association of Lagos (MOALS), Itire-Ikate Branch ‘B’ went on a solidarity protest in support of their arrested members and it got berserk.
Officials of the law enforcement agencies considered the flagrant violation of traffic rules by the motorcyclists as being repugnant in a society.
The Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Kehinde Baruwa represented the Council Boss at the peace talk meeting.
Hon Baruwa admonished the members of MOALS,Itire-Ikate ‘B’ to desist from any act of lawlessness and comply with the traffic rules of Lagos State in order not to attract the wrath of law.
The Motorcycle Operator Association of Lagos (MOALS), Itire-Ikate branch ‘B’ Chairman Comrade Abbey Akintola expressed his appreciation to Dr. Apatira for playing a fatherly role in resolving the crisis and ensuring normalcy is restored back to the vicinity.
