US Vice President-elect Kamala Harris Covers Vogue Magazine February Issue

US vice president-elect Kamala Harris is the cover star for Vogue Magazine’s February issue. The president-elect graced the cover in a chic-casual outfit as she rocked a black blazer and black converse sneakers.

The magazine shoot was set to honour the college days of the vice-president at Howard University several years ago. Vogue revealed that the styling choices were Harris’s choice and were to show her in her casual best.

In its publication, Vogue described Kamala as the woman who made history and is set to help heal a fractured America and lead it out of crisis.

“I always say this: I may be the first to do many things…l make sure I’m not the last,” says Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. “I was thinking of my baby nieces, who will only know one world where a woman is vice president of the United States, a woman of colour, a Black woman, a woman with parents who were born outside of the United States.”
