Plane crash: Minister for defense, other govt officials brief President Buhari on military aircraft crash


Following the plane crash yesterday in Kaduna state, which claimed the lives of 11 army officers including the Chief of army staff Ibrahim Attahiru, the minister for defense Bashir Magashi led other top government dignitaries to brief President Buhari on the tragic incident.

The nation was thrown into mourning yesterday evening when a military plane carrying the chief of army staff, and 10 other officers crashed around the Kaduna international airport.

The President had expressed sadness over the incident, describing it as a “mortal blow” to the country.

Among those present at the briefing on Friday night were Leo Irabor, chief of defence; Isiaka Amao, chief of air staff; Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation, and Yusuf Bichi, director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS).
