Following the recent delete of two presidential tweets by popular microblogging platform, Twitter, The federal government has suspended the operations of Twitter service in Nigeria.
Strangely, the suspension was made public through a series of tweet by the minister for information Lai Mohammed on the ministry’s handle.
In the statement issued, the minister cited “the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence. However, the platform is still active within Nigeria.
