The Deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Noheem Adams representing Eti-Osa 1 has commended the Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwolu on the just presented 2022 budget.
The 2022 appropriation bill tagged “Budget of Consolidation” has 59% capital expenditure and a 41% recurrent expenditure which makes it a developmental budget.
According to the Eti-Osa born lawmaker, the governor Babajide Sanwolu led administration should be applauded for keeping faith with the THEMES agenda and also increasing the capital expenditure.
“ Any budget that focuses on capital expenditure as against recurrent expenditure is indeed a serious budget and it’s ready to usher in meaningful and sustainable development “ Hon Noheem said.
Similarly , Hon Noheem also heaped praises on the speaker of the Lagos state House of assembly RT Hon Mudashiru Obasa for his speech during the 2022 budget presentation.
The speech which urged the state government to pay more attention poverty alleviation, empower Lagosians and boost employment was delivered by the speaker during the 2022 budget presentation.
“We must commend the most experienced Lawmaker in Africa Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa for his speech during the 2022 budget presentation which centered on. alleviating poverty, empowering Lagosians and boost employment, the speech shows how committed you are to advance the Lagos narrative and making Lagos the global economy and financial hub that is safe secured and productive” he said.
The Lagos state Governor had on the 24th of November presented the 2022 appropriation bill which gave more attention to capital expenditure over recurrent.
