BREAKING: Attempt to swamp ‘delegates’ list stirs up another Controversy in APC presidential primary.

As the world awaits who emerges as the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, another controversy is set to rare its head as over an alleged attempt to compromise the delegates’ list for the presidential primary election.

According to a story monitored on TheCable, there is a substituted list meant to favour Senate President Ahmad Lawan who is one of the contenders for the ruling party’s ticket.

It would be recalled that On Monday, Abdullahi Adamu, APC national chairman, said Lawan was the party’s consensus candidate which is contrary to the agreement of the APC governors who want the presidential ticket to be zoned to the south.

Similarly, some members of the party’s national working committee (NWC) aligned with the governors, saying Adamu’s choice was his “opinion”.

“The secretary of the accreditation committee, Senator Gumel, a personal assistant to Lawan. Orji Kalu, senate whip, and Hope Uzodimma, are also working to ensure that only delegates that will vote Lawan will get into Eagle Square,” a source said.
