Chris Pratt, 39 and Katherine Schwarzenegger, 29, tied the knot in a private ceremony this past Saturday, with the Guardians of the Galaxy star confirming this on his Instagram.
He, on Sunday, posted a picture of them in an embrace after the ceremony with the caption, “Yesterday was the best day of our lives! We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter in our lives. We are so thankful to our family and friends who stood with us and grateful to Mr Giorgio Armani who created a once in a lifetime dress for Katherine to wear and for me, the perfect suit. This morning we feel nothing but blessed.”
According to People, guests in attendance included Pratt’s 6-year-old son, Jack, the bride’s siblings — brothers Patrick and Christopher as well as sister, Christina — and close friend Rob Lowe and his sons, Johnny and Matthew. A source also added that the bride’s parents were in attendance.
The couple had announced their engagement on social media in January after seven months of dating. This marriage is the first for Katherine Schwarzenegger and the second for Chris Pratt who was previously married to actress, Anna Faris before announcing the end of their marriage in 2017.
If the Schwarzenegger name sounds familiar, that is because Katherine is the daughter to actor-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger who, according to a People, was also in attendance with the bride’s mother author-journalist, Maria Shriver.
