Leader of pan Yoruba sociocultural group Afenifere pa fasoranti’s daughter, MRS Funke Olakunrin has been shot dead. MRS olakunrin aged 58 was shot dead by unknown gunmen while on coming to Lagos. According to ondo state police command, nee fasoranti was shot dead by kidnappers and she was the only one killed in the vehicle.
Efforts to reach the afenifere leader wasn’t successful as he didn’t pick up his phone. In the mean time , the spokesman of the ondo state police MR Joseph while confirming the incident said the gunmen are been trailed by their men and that 3 passengers from the bus have been rescued. While one of the passengers is Gerald igboroka is still missing

Meanwhile the ondo state govt have condemned the killing. In a statement issued by the GOV through his spokesman The governor in a statement by his spokesman, Mr. Donald Ojogo, said, “To say the least, it represents an unenviable turning point, the depth of everything that is evil.
“On behalf of the State Executive Council, the Governor symphatizes with our foremost leader and indeed the people of the State over this dastardly act .
“However, the governor wishes to appeal to all and sundry to remain calm and allow the Police to unravel the perpetrators of this murder.
“Already, the Commissioner of Police has been directed to comb all forests of Ondo State to bring to book, these bloodthirsty murderers. There is no hiding place for such in Ondo State.”
