wife of slain Living Faith Church pastor, who was kidnapped along Abuja-Kaduna highway on Monday, has regained freedom. The chairman of Kaduna State Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend Joseph Hayab, disclosed this to newsmen.
The resident Pastor of Ungwar Romi, Living Faith Church in Kaduna, Jeremiah Omolewa was on his way back from Abuja with his family when the kidnappers shot him and abducted his wife.
However, Hayab announced that the wife of the pastor was released at about 10 pm on Thursday and was picked along Kaduna-Abuja Highway.
“Yesterday (Thursday) before 10pm, we got her back. When she was with the kidnappers, she didn’t know that her husband was late until this morning. So, we are really worried and we are asking for people of God to pray for her because of the ordeal.”
Hayab said, “we paid money to the kidnappers, but I didn’t want to mention the figures, because we are also very careful with the whole issues. They called me when they were coming back and when they got home I was called. But we couldn’t tell her that the pastor was shot. The Pastor and other men of God went and saw her this morning and I think they broke the news to her.”
