One may be among the richest and most influential but as long as you carry the Nigerian passport outside this country, you are not immuned to the scorn and mal treatment of immigration officials, police and ordinary citizens of that country. If we fix our country, Nigerians will have a measure of respect.
Americans and Europeans will not respect you for buying twenty thousand dollars worth of goods in their shop as long as the employed janitor and cleaners are carrying the same passport as you. Immigration officers do not care if you are wearing an authentic Versace.
As long as they see that green passport, you are suspect. On the contrary, many Americans, Europeans, Austrialians etc travel in just shorts and T shirts yet they go through immigration faster than the well dressed Nigerian.
Fix your country and you will gain the respect you deserve not the damn rethorics of our country being the giant of Africa. Thats a giant illusion
