Adoption of direct primaries for Edo APC Candidate, writers opinion

The speculated report that the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has adopted direct party primary election for the Edo State governorship primaries scheduled for June 22, 2020, is an opinion of “paid fake news” writers.

In the said report, the sponsored report wherein the NWC purportedly granted a waiver to one of the party aspirants, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a member of outlawed Edo Peoples Movement (EPM), which was published by some National Dailies, on Friday, quoted unfounded sources instead of facts.

Investigation by Crack team Naija revealed that the sponsored report also deliberately did not attribute he claim to any member of the party, and as such should be discountenanced for its incorrectness of hirelings who are bent on circumventing due process.

Crack team Naija recalls that in the last APC National Executive Council (NEC) meeting that was held, the national leaders of the party unanimously agreed that the various States where elections will hold should adopt a model for party primary that is suitable to them.

Interpretatively, Edo State APC under the the leadership of the Chairman, Mr Anselm Ojezua is the only authority that has been empowered to recommend the model of primary to the NWC of APC, not the other way round.

Another example in point is the APC Governorship primaries in Kogi and Bayelsa States, were indirect primaries.

APC is yet to decide the model of primary election which is most likely to be indirect party primary election.
