Nigeria Records 225 New COVID-19 Case one death.


Despite flattening the curve, Nigeria yesterday recorded 225 fresh COVID-19 cases and one new death the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed this via their twitter handle on Tuesday.

Also, the public health agency added that 63 people that were treated have recovered from the infection and have been discharged accordingly.

NCDC also noted that the new infections that were reported are from 11 states, which include Lagos with 165, FCT With 17, Rivers with 13, Ogun with 12, Niger with 8, Delta with 4, Ondo with 2, Anambra with 1, Edo with 1, Ekiti with 1, and Kaduna with 1.

The NCDC stated that it had conducted about 558,313 test since the first confirmed case was announced in the country.

“Till date, 60,555 cases have been confirmed, 52,996 cases have been discharged and 1,116 have been recorded in 36 States and the Federal capital territory,” it said.

It further said that a multi-sectoral national emergency operation centre (EOC) activated at Level 3 has continued to coordinate the national response activities across the country.
