Honorable Minister of Interior commended OSHAssociation for advocating and promoting Safety in Nigeria, Flagged-Off Vision Zero for Sustainable Development Project 2030
8th International Safety Conference and Awards 2018 was a great impact and a huge success in Health and Safety Sector in Nigeria and beyond.
OSHAssociation UK – Nigeria Region marked it’s 8th conference in a grand style in Abuja. The Regional President of the Association who welcomed the Honourable Minister of Interior RTD Lt-Gen Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, ably rep. by Engr. Joseph Anebi, Controller General Federal Fire Service, Honorable Minister of Labour and Employment Senator Chris Nwabueze Ngige, rep. by Dr Mrs Ifeoma Anyanwu Director Occupational Safety and Health Department, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Hon. Mal. Adamu Adamu Honourable Minister of Education, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Special Adviser to the President on Politics, Emir of Azara, Nasarawa State, His Royal Highness Dr. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim, M’ Oba Dr. Olusegun Idowu Atayero of Aramoko Kingdom, Director General Lagos State Safety Commission Hon. Hakeem Dickson, Captain of Industries, Chief Executives and Directors of organization from the public and private sectors.
The Controller General Federal Fire Service, who went ahead to reiterate on the need for Safety and Health to be put on the front burner of our dealings at home and workplace. He concluded by saying participants should take advantage of a conference like this to enhance themselves in safety awareness.
The Regional Administrator Engr. Emmanuel Uwalaka in his speech, called on all participants to take Safety to heart, saying Safety is a practicable phenomenon and the responsibility of all in the workplace and at home environment.
Keynote Speech and Goodwill messages were made by the distinguished guests, which Senator Duro Faseyi (Rep) reiterated that the OSH Bill at the National Assembly is currently receiving attention for further action by the house.
As part of the agenda of the conference, the Honorable Minister of Interior, Honorable Minister of Labor, Honorable Minister of Education and Key other Stakeholders Flagged Off VISION ZERO FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT 2030, an independent driven project of OSHAssociation towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030.
